Reader Question: Putting a icon shortcut beside the Start Menu
Wednesday, October 31st, 2007Here’s a questions from a reader:
"On my laptop, how do I get an icon for outlook next to the start menu?"
This is a common problem that a lot of people have. Fortunately it’s an easy fix. The first thing to understand is that the row of icons beside the start menu is called the "Quick Launch" toolbar. It allows you to put a few icons in the space beside the Start Button. It makes it faster to launch those programs because their icons can never be covered up by any windows, and it’s faster than searching through the Start Menu.
